Tea Together!

On a Thursday afternoon you’ll find our seniors art group here at GMC bravely trying new mediums, experimenting with colour and composition and willingly being nudged in new directions!

Throw-back to December 2023 when Garnethill Multicultural Centre’s Senior Art Group Show : Tea Together was held at Fleming House. A collection of multi-media textiles created by the class.

Last year we turned images into tea cosies exhibited at the GSA’s Reid building, shown along with tea, cosies from the GSA Archives and Collections. so naturally tea towels were next!

The ethos of the class is to encourage folk to follow their instincts and get reacquainted with their creative spirits. The kindness and generosity of the group has created a place where friendships have evolved and inspiration flows. There is room for silliness, seriousness and lots, and lots of artwork.

Who knows where 2024 will take us all, but we can be sure it will be delightful on Thursday afternoons!.
