Free for All. Period.

We have provided free non-reusable period products for over a year now (via @simoncommscot) and all products are available in all our toilets. We are now trialing some new reusable period products for FREE!

We have brand new period pants, mooncups and fresh spare underwear to support people throughout their period. These are part of the period-friendly initiative to provide free period products for people who menstruate.

Period underwear comes in a discreet black bag, in limited sizes from XS, S, M up to L. The mooncups have their own bag and carry case and come in two sizes; S & L. The spare ordinary underwear we have is mostly size L (14-16) with some XL (18-20).

Collection: Thursdays 12-2pm Upstairs hall at the toiletries table during our Conversation Cafe / Community Meal.

The Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act’s aim is to ensure that all who menstruate* can have reasonably convenient access to period products, free of charge, as and when they are required. The Act states that: 

Anyone who menstruates has the right to free period products in Scotland whenever they need them

Educational establishments should make period products available for free in all appropriate toilets 

Scottish Ministers must publicise the availability of free period products
