Intergenerational Workshops
How do you feel about the Garnethill community? Do you feel safe? Do you know your neighbours? How about the young people? The families? the seniors? Come along to GMC to have your say!
We will be joined by Bella, from Generations Working Together to discuss & explore how we feel about the community, community safety, and how different generations (from the very young to the very old!) can connect. What works well and where do we need to improve? All ideas & suggestions are open for discussion!
Garnethill Winter Fair
Artwork, books, tea & cakes, bric a brac, clothing, plants, tombola, a raffle - it was all going down at our first Winter Fair last Saturday!
A percentage of all proceeds were split between 4 very worthy Garnethill charities - Garnethill Community Council, FROGGS, Garnethill Neighbourhood Watch & ourselves Garnethill Multicultural Centre.

Conversation Cafe 2023
What a life-affirming way to end the year with a Christmas get-together. With a delicious Christmas spread provided by Nyax from Living Solo Initiative. The upstairs hall expertly decorated by art teacher, Adela’s festive cut-outs, creating a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
We started our weekly conversation café early in 2023 as another way for people newly arrived in Glasgow to meet people from the local community, practice English in a more informal environment, enjoy a warm nourishing home-cooked meal & make new friends.
Walking Group round-up 2023
Over this year our walking group has gone from strength to strength! With funding and support from @Paths for All, we have been able to add lots of exciting events in addition to our weekly walks. And there’s more to come in 2024!
