Picturing Garnethill

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity here in the building to work with the community on a new creative project! Our upstairs hall was recently repainted and now looks so much sharper. As part of that redecoration, we need new curtains - we could have chosen some plain boring ones, but thought it would be more fun to ask the community what they would like to see on them.

Local illustrator Rosie Cunningham will be running creative mapping workshops with the childrens and seniors art classes in the building in February and we want to invite anyone who lives in the area or uses the Multicultural Centre - or both - to come along and share what they love about Garnethill.

We are partnering with Glasgow School of Art’s Centre for Advanced Textiles - just a street or two away - who will guide us through the process of turning our hand drawn art and stories into printed textiles, ready to be made into curtains!
